Outreach Coordinator

Position Summary

The Outreach Coordinator supports the mission of Genesis Outreach by coordinating ministry operations, equipping volunteers, strengthening community partnerships, and walking alongside neighbors seeking stability, recovery, and flourishing in Christ. Working under the direction of the Outreach Director and alongside the Community Outreach Coordinator, Micah Hope Ministry Director, ministry leaders, volunteers, and community partners, this role helps ensure outreach ministries remain organized, compassionate, relational, and effective.

Essential Responsibilities

Outreach Ministry Coordination

  • Coordinate outreach ministries, events, logistics, schedules, communication, supplies, records, and reports.

  • Strengthen ministry systems and foster a welcoming environment.

  • Attend all staff meetings

  • Other duties as assigned by Outreach Director

Relational Care & Resource Navigation

  • Build trust-based relationships, provide spiritual encouragement, and connect individuals to appropriate resources.

  • Maintain healthy boundaries, confidentiality, documentation, and referrals.

Volunteer & Partnership Development

  • Recruit, train, encourage, and support volunteers.

  • Develop partnerships with churches, nonprofits, and community agencies.

Administration & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain ministry records and communication systems.

  • Collaborate with church staff and community partners while participating in both office and direct ministry work.

Qualifications

  • Must be a member and active participant of Genesis Church of Fayetteville

  • Must be able to pass a standard background check

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent applicable professional experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and healthy boundaries.

  • Ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners.

  • Flexible schedule includes occasional evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to manage or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and work on your feet for extended periods.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be considered loud at unusual times. A driver’s license is required for local travel between church and applicable functions. The requirements must be met to be added to the church’s vehicle insurance.
