Genesis Church Hospitality Coordinator
Position: Part-Time (15-20 hrs. weekly)
Reports To: Genesis Associate Pastor
Work Authorization: Permanent US & Non-Permanent US
Position Description: The Hospitality Coordinator plans, prepares, and oversees meals for various church events while cultivating a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment for all guests and members. This role ensures that hospitality is both intentional and excellent, helping every person feel seen, valued, and connected through shared meals and meaningful experiences.
Essential Duties:
Prepare and coordinate meals for Morning Manna, Pick Me Up, Wednesday Night Encounter, Cold Weather Shelter, Fruitful Followers events and other church events as requested, ensuring timely preparation, organization, and welcoming dining experience.
Recruit, organize, and lead a team of volunteers to assist with meal preparation, setup, and service as needed, fostering a spirit of teamwork and hospitality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen and pantry, ensuring all items are properly stored, labeled, and inventoried for efficient use.
Order and manage food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient and well-prepared meals, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols in accordance with local health regulations, maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
Assist with setup and cleanup of spaces for church and community events, ensuring environments are welcoming, functional, and left in excellent condition.
Collaborate with ministry leaders to support the unique needs of various events (e.g. Next-Gen, Outreach, Leadership meetings, Men’s and Women’s Ministries, Wedding and Funeral Guild), ensuring hospitality elements are thoughtfully planned and executed.
Assist in managing the food services budget and food donations.
Manage traffic in Hanna Hall entrance, serving as first point of contact for guests and neighbors. Use discernment to evaluate needs, ensure a safe and welcoming environment, and connect individuals with appropriate support or services.
Attend all staff meetings
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Pastor
Essential Qualifications:
Must be a member and active participant of Genesis Church of Fayetteville
Must be able to pass a standard background check
Education and/or Experience: Education equal to a high school diploma
Previous experience working in food service, kitchen, and or restaurant capacity
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well with people from a variety of backgrounds
Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word
Ability to write schedules and conduct written correspondence

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to manage or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and work on your feet for extended periods.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be considered loud at unusual times. A driver’s license is required for local travel between church and applicable functions. The requirements must be met to be added to the church’s vehicle insurance
