Here’s what’s coming up at Genesis


Join us for dinner and a deep dive into the Gospel of Mark each Sunday night January 28st – April 28th.  We will meet in the Wesley Hall from 5:30-7:30 for a time of community and spiritual formation.  Childcare is available.  Registration is requested by contacting Jacob Foor at Jacob.foor@intervarsity.org or Pastor Jody at jfarrell@genfay.com.

April 8th Next-Gen-Is-Us will be hosting an Eclipse tailgate party in the Genesis parking lot from 10am-3pm. We will have games for the family, and we will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. We will have a BCHL cornhole challenge and cover the sun fundraiser to help cover the cost of the event as well as raising money to buy jerseys for the Ramay cornhole club. Whatever extra funds are available will go towards the purchase of a new van to satisfy our growing transportation needs. This event is free of charge so the whole community can join, donations are appreciated to help us reach our $5,000 goal. Genesis Church seeks to be at the table in conversations that lead to healing from our culture’s racial strife.  As followers of Christ, we desire to be peacemakers and promoters of justice in ways that bring God glory.  With that in mind, we want to share an opportunity to hear from a leading Black Christian voice on racial issues.  Dr. Christina Edmondson will discuss her book Faithful Antiracism on Saturday, April 13th at the Fayetteville Public Library’s Walker Room from 2:00-3:30pm.

Join us Saturday, May 4th from 9-1 for our second annual 0.1 Recovery Run. Yes, you read that right... It's a tenth of a mile! The races will take place at Genesis Church with three race age brackets: 12 and under, 13-18 yrs., and 19+. We'll have food on the grill, treats and games for kids. Don't miss the chance to fellowship, support the Micah Hope Ministry, and enjoy some silly competition!
